Arkema Acquires Irish Construction Adhesives Company
Recently, Arkema announced that the company has acquired Arc Building Products, an Irish construction adhesive company. The acquisition is expected to close in the first quarter of 2024.
Arc Building Products has its manufacturing facilities in Arklow, County Wicklow and has annual sales of approximately €15 million. Significant investment is planned at the Arklow plant to increase local production.
Arkema said its Bostik brand has been present in Ireland for more than 60 years and the acquisition provides industrial and commercial synergies. By integrating Arc Buildings’ product range, Bostik will expand its value-added product portfolio for the Irish construction market, whose growth is driven by rising demand for sustainable housing and renovations.
Vincent Legros, executive vice president of Arkema’s Adhesive Solutions business, said the deal is in line with Bostik’s commitment to deliver consistently high-quality, sustainable products while cultivating strong customer relationships.
