ECHEMI 2024-01-16

After making strategic acquisitions in the retail sector in Germany, France, Belgium and Slovakia, French group Bogart is pursuing an external growth strategy and has acquired the well-known perfume brand Rose et Marius, headquartered in Aix-en-Provence, France. Bogart thus expanded its brand portfolio from its original perfume and cosmetics manufacturing business.

Founded in 1975, Bogart is an independent family company listed on Euronext Paris. Its brands include Carven, Chevignon, Jacques Bogart, Neo Cologne, Méthode Jeanne Piaubert, Cousin.e.s, and April, among others.

Created in 2012 and awarded the "Artisans d'Art" label in 2017, Rose et Marius sells original fragrances in its boutique in Aix and other high-end venues in France and abroad, all products are handmade in Provence from selected natural raw materials.

"Bogart will provide Rose et Marius with its expertise as a manufacturer, a comprehensive distribution network and the resources needed for international expansion," the group said in a statement.
