Pesticide application value of universal solvent DMF
The pesticide industry is at the end of the chemical industry chain and belongs to the fine chemical industry. Dimethylformamide (DMF), as an important polar solvent, has important applications in the production of pesticide industry. Dimethylformamide (DMF), also known as N, N-Dimethylformamide, because it is a Dimethyl substitute for Formamide, and both methyl groups are located on the N(nitrogen) atom, hence the name.
Pesticide production includes intermediates, apis and formulations: intermediates are the key products of the previous process of manufacturing apis, and must undergo further molecular changes or refining to become a material for apis. The content of raw materials is generally more than 95%, and it is a main raw material for formulation production. The efficacy of the API is very poor when used directly, and it is generally sold to the formulations factory, which can improve the efficacy after making the API into a formulations. The effective content of the raw material in the formulations is generally about 20%, and the other groups are divided into FM, DS, EHS, etc., which are sold to end consumers after packaging and labeling.
There are three main categories of pesticides by use: insecticides, herbicides and fungicides
Among the pesticides, the pesticide products with large DMF dosage are Imidacloprid, Acetamiprid, Fipronil and so on. DMF is used because dichloride (CCMP, 2-Chloro-5-(chloromethyl)pyridinee) is the most important intermediate in the production of Imidacloprid/Acetamiprid.
On the one hand, the widespread use of pesticides has promoted the rapid development of farmers' production and income, and on the other hand, organic synthetic pesticides are toxic and will produce a large amount of sewage in the production process and pollute the environment during use. Therefore, organic synthetic pesticides such as organochlorine, organophosphorus and carbamate have gradually withdrawn from the market because they do not meet environmental protection requirements. And low toxicity is the development direction of the pesticide industry.With the rise of DMF as a solvent (a liquid that can dissolve gas, solid, liquid and become a uniform mixture) has been widely used in the formulation of apis and intermediates, which meets the requirements of The Times.
Herbicides are agents that can cause weeds to die completely or selectively. According to the mode of action can be divided into :(1) selective herbicide: this agent can kill weeds, but harmless to seedlings. Such as cover grass can, Pucao net, Goer and so on. (2) Insecticidal herbicides: herbicides are toxic to all plants, as long as the contact with the green part, regardless of seedlings and weeds, will be harmed or killed. It is mainly used before sowing, after sowing, before emergence, and on the main side of the nursery. Such as Glyphosate.
Fungicides are mainly divided into four categories, which are protective fungicides, eradicating fungicides, therapeutic fungicides and disease resistance activators, which respectively play a role in protecting crops, killing pathogens and enhancing crop disease resistance.
DMF has been applied in the three plates, of which the amount of insecticides is about 90%, the amount of herbicides is about 10%, and the amount of fungicides is very small and can be ignored. In many downstream industries of DMF, the overall market proportion of pesticides is not large, only about 5%, but in the dull period of the market, it often becomes a key minority that affects the trend of the DMF market, which is worth paying close attention to.
