Alltech launches its first biocide Tricho Smart Mega in Argentina
Alltech Crop Science has announced the launch of its first biocide, Tricho Smart Mega, at the EnBio 2024 expo in Argentina.
The Tricho Smart Mega is a "second generation bioproduct" consisting of the microorganisms Trichoderma harzianum and Bacillus megaterium, which are already on the Argentine market. The synergies and complementarities between the two microorganisms can improve the growth, adaptation and survival of crops under biotic and abiotic stresses.
The product is characterized by its use of antagonistic microorganisms to combat pathogens, providing a sustainable alternative to chemical fungicides; In addition to being more environmentally friendly, it can also help reduce chemical residues in food; It can also be used as fertilizer to promote plant growth and increase productivity; When applied directly to seeds, it also stimulates plant nutrition, produces plant hormones and dissolves minerals not found in the soil, such as phosphates, and produces metabolites involved in activating plant responses to biotic and abiotic stress.
The production of biological inputs and their integration into current Argentine agriculture not only promotes more sustainable practices, but also greatly increases farmers' profitability.
