The number of registered products of highly toxic rodenticide in China continues to decrease

2024-03-11

Rodenticide refers to a pesticide used to prevent and control rodents and other harmful rodents, and plays an important role in agriculture, industry, public health and other fields.

As of the end of February 2024, a total of 13 kinds of rodenticides (involving 14 active ingredients) have been effectively registered in China, of which 8 are highly toxic and highly toxic restricted pesticides, such as Clostridium botulinum C, Clostridium botulinum D, Flocoumafen, Diphacinone, Warfarin, Coumatetralyl, Brodifacoum and Bromadiolone. Vitamin D3, Curcumol, Alphachlorohydrin, Triptolide, Diphenoxylate · Barium sulfate are five non-restricted pesticides of moderate toxicity and low toxicity, and do not implement fixed management (Sulfuryl fluoride is mainly used as a fumigant, Zinc phosphide has been eliminated for many years, and this paper is no longer statistical).

In these 13 kinds of rodenticides, there are a total of 9 kinds of official registration of original drug products, and a total of 28 official registration of technical products. Among them, 6 kinds of highly toxic and highly toxic products, a total of 25 officially registered technical products, 14 of the current registration period, 11 of the registered period of validity, a reduction of 44%; Three kinds of medium toxicity and low toxicity, a total of 3 officially registered technical products, are currently valid for registration
