ZETA acquires majority stake in Inosim

ECHEMI 2024-04-11

Austrian biopharmaceutical process plant engineering specialist ZETA has acquired a majority stake in Inosim, a German provider of software solutions for production process optimization.

The partnership covers the sales and marketing of Inosim products, including Inosim simulation software and Inosim Foresight, a new platform for predictive decision support in factory operations.

Inosim's simulation software products are widely used to optimize production processes in various industries, including chemical, pharmaceutical, life sciences and biotechnology. The company's customers include Bayer, Roche, BASF and Sanofi.

ZETA said it has integrated Inosim’s software products into its digital tool environment to enable informed decisions in engineering, supported by production simulations. This approach enables better, more efficient processes at lower capital expenditures and operating costs.

"By combining Inosim’s expertise with our own, we are able to deliver fully digital, integrated engineering and operations workflows that leverage simulation at every stage. We are therefore paving the way for our customers to achieve sustainable production processes and plants throughout their entire life cycle." commented Andreas Marchler, Managing Director of ZETA.

Inosim CEO Peter Balling said the simulations conducted by his company provide a comprehensive understanding of complex systems and enable the examination of different scenarios in a virtual environment, thereby promoting informed decision-making processes.
