Axalta Launches Voltatex 1250V Fast

Axalta added a new product to its Energy Solutions Portfolio – Voltatex 1250V Fast, an electrical steel coating designed to save both time and energy when used on fully-finished and semi-finished electrical steel.
Voltatex 1250V Fast is a C5 coating designed for use with rotating and static machines of all sizes. It offers excellent weldability, even at thicker film builds, allowing for high productivity and flawless welds for all electrical steel grades. Due to its specifically optimized surface characteristics, coated materials are also easy to process, with fast throughput during the slitting and stamping process.
“We are continually working to create products that are more efficient and that result in lower energy consumption for our customers,” said Dr. Frank-Rainer Böhm, global technology manager for Axalta’s Energy Solutions business “That is exactly what we have achieved with Voltatex 1250V Fast. It requires less heat during curing and therefore less energy to obtain a fully-cured film compared to conventional C5 electrical steel coatings while offering excellent adhesion and flexibility as well as very good corrosion protection.”
