Celanese Opens Technology Center and Shared Services Center in India
Announces the opening of two new facilities – the India Technology Center in Silvassa and the new Shared Services Center in Hyderabad. The two facilities will enable the India team to better support local customers and global employees across a range of capabilities. Celanese is a specialty materials and chemicals company.
The India Technology Center brings together state-of-the-art application development, testing and analytical capabilities to support growth for customers in India and serve Celanese’s global teams.
"The India Technology Center will not only effectively support customers in India, but will also be part of Celanese’s global laboratory network, supporting Celanese's internal teams and customers outside of India," said Owen Liu, Head of Technology Innovation, Asia Pacific.
"The center will also help accelerate the development of emerging applications while enabling rapid response to customers’ new product development and application-related queries. We encourage customers to visit the India Technology Center and leverage its capabilities to help them achieve their business goals."
The new Shared Services Center in Hyderabad, India is housed in a modern building designed with a focus on providing employees with a bright, ergonomic workspace. The nearly 20,000 square foot office features collaborative spaces and amenities. It promotes inclusivity and will accommodate nearly 450 people, including the 290 colleagues who already work there. Nico Scialdone, Hyderabad Site Director, said:"India has a deep pool of highly capable and experienced talent that can very effectively meet our global needs. We are confident that Celanese's work culture, values and opportunities for employee growth will enable this center to attract and develop the right talent and become an integral part of our global shared services network."
