Celanese expands Shanghai Pudong Technology Center

On October 9, Celanese Corporation, a global specialty materials and chemicals company, announced the expansion of its Asian Technology Center (ATC) in Pudong, Shanghai, China. Equipped with world-class technical capabilities and talent, the center demonstrates the company's commitment to accelerating innovation and service while contributing to the long-term success of customers and communities in Asia and around the world.

The Celanese Asian Technology Center brings together industry-leading laboratory capabilities and expertise, including product development, material design, computer-aided engineering, color matching, processing, advanced analysis and part testing to support its acetyl chain and engineered materials businesses, especially in fast-growing markets such as electric vehicles, 5G, clean energy, construction, adhesives, carpets, paints and coatings.

The enhanced technical center has industry-leading laboratories, such as a unique noise and vibration testing laboratory, a certified UL DAP (Data Acceptance Procedure) laboratory, and a comprehensive elastomer processing laboratory, which can accelerate customers' new product development, validation and delivery.

In addition, the Asia Technical Center also features an Innovation Center to showcase the company's latest solutions to customers, helping to drive further innovation and collaboration across industries.
