PureCycle Resins Successfully Create Multiple Compounds
PureCycle Technologies announced the successful creation of multiple recycled composites produced using PureCycle resins. The composites contain varying levels of PureCycle resins blended with either post-industrial recycled content or virgin polypropylene (PP).
These resins can be used to create a wider variety of consumer products, simplify customer approval processes, increase the ability to bring higher levels of recycled content products to market, and bring value to PureCycle.
"I am pleased with our recent success in composite trials and excited about what this means for the future of PureCycle," said Dustin Olson, CEO of PureCycle. "Opening up this avenue should allow the company to reach more customers. We continue to see high demand for our resins and composites, which should lower the barriers to adoption and approval times for companies that are looking for recycled content."
The company is working to expand its composite business by working with multiple partners that specialize in developing and producing recycled-based polymers with performance properties and consistency similar to virgin resins.
Olson added: "Recycled material requirements are being incorporated into legislation across the country and around the world. The ability of our resins to be blended with either post-industrial recycled content or virgin PP allows us to provide brand owners with a consistent product that meets their specific needs."
