Summer Fridays Receives Investment from TSG Consumer Partners
Summer Fridays, a clean, premium skincare and hybrid cosmetics brand, has received a strategic growth investment from leading private equity firm TSG Consumer Partners. TSG is also an investor in Huda Kattan’s Huda Beauty. As part of the transaction, Prelude Growth Partners will exit its investment in the company.
The partnership will support Summer Fridays’ growth initiatives while maintaining the core Summer Fridays brand and products. TSG will help the company continue product development, brand building and geographic expansion.
Summer Fridays co-founders Marianna Hewitt and Lauren Ireland will retain significant ownership stakes and continue to lead the company along with the rest of the Summer Fridays management team.
Marianna Hewitt and Lauren Ireland, co-founders of the brand, said,“We are excited to partner with TSG as we embark on our next chapter of growth. TSG has extensive experience in growing beauty consumer brands and can support our expansion through its digital, operational and consumer insight capabilities. We look forward to accelerating our innovation and global distribution with a partner who shares our values and supports our commitment to providing customers with easy, gentle choices.”
Colin Welch, Managing Director and Head of TSG’s New York and London offices, said,“Summer Fridays is truly unique in the beauty industry. It is a lifestyle brand that has earned unparalleled consumer love through its focus on gently effective, intuitive and easy-to-use products. We are honored to work with Marianna, Lauren and the entire Summer Fridays team to build on the company’s success and help the brand further expand globally.”
