TER Chemicals acquires Evonik’s Fischer-Tropsch wax business
TER Chemicals announces the acquisition of Evonik’s modified Fischer-Tropsch wax business, effective June 30, 2024.
TER Chemicals will continue to sell under the VESTOWAX® brand, a portfolio that offers different types of customized Fischer-Tropsch waxes. The company is ready to continue the business with the same product quality and is committed to being a reliable partner in the future.
VESTOWAX® FT waxes are characterized by high purity and homogeneous molecular structure. It gives the products a high melting point and hardness. The structural properties and advantages enable a wide range of applications in a variety of industries. For example, they act as lubricants in plastic processing applications. They can even be used in coatings and printing inks to increase slip, abrasion and scratch resistance.
“Modified Fischer-Tropsch waxes complement our broad portfolio for coatings, adhesives, plastics and other industries, and we are eager to expand the portfolio with other modified waxes in the future according to market needs,” says Jens Vinke, head of the CASE business unit at TER Chemicals.
