AIVITA Biomedical Licenses Novel Skincare Formulation to Global Skincare Retailer LevEllis
AIVITA Biomedical, Inc., a biotechnology company focused on innovative stem cell applications, is pleased to announce the signing of a licensing agreement with global skincare retailer LevEllis for exclusive global marketing and distribution rights to AIVITA’s proprietary skincare formulations. AIVITA’s skincare products, previously sold under the name Root of Skin™, have achieved strong market testing metrics among licensed clinical dermatologists and a record of consecutive sell-outs on QVC Japan.
Under the terms of the agreement, LevEllis has acquired exclusive global marketing and distribution rights to AIVITA’s skincare formulations. AIVITA will receive upfront payments, milestone payments, and royalties. AIVITA will continue to manufacture and supply active ingredients from its cGMP manufacturing facilities.
"We are thrilled to be working with such a renowned beauty retail team to bring these products to the global market," said AIVITA CEO Dr. Hans Keirstead. "LevEllis has the deep domain knowledge to best represent the true science and clinical rigor behind these products."
LevEllis will relaunch these formulas as Provoque™, a new skincare brand from cosmetic surgeon and renowned skin rejuvenation expert Dr. Laura Ellis. Her LevEllis team brings together cosmetic industry veterans and commercialization experts who have brought leading products to market.
"I am excited to introduce these truly innovative products to skincare consumers around the world. They offer a completely unique complex of actives backed by real-world data, but more importantly, I have seen the response from everyday users who have become lifelong fans," said Dr. Laura Ellis, Founder and CEO of LevEllis.
The novel active ingredients in AIVITA's skincare formulas were made possible by adapting the company's development technology and expertise in regenerative therapies that have been shown to be effective in FDA-regulated clinical trials. AIVITA's proprietary capabilities in high-purity cell culture allow the company to capture the full set of factors produced by young skin stem cells, in their natural relative concentrations. The resulting products can repair what is lost over time in aging skin.
