SK Capital Completes Acquisition of Parker Hannifin’s North American Composites and Fuel Containment Division
SK Capital, a private investment firm focused on specialty materials, ingredients and life sciences, has completed its previously announced acquisition of Parker Hannifin Corporation’s North American Composites and Fuel Containment Division.
The company, now renamed Axillon Aerospace, is a leading provider of engineered carbon fiber composite components and fuel containment solutions for the defense and commercial aerospace markets. Axillon Aerospace has annual sales of approximately $350 million, six manufacturing sites in the United States and Mexico, and approximately 1,700 employees.
“Axillon Aerospace has extensive experience providing differentiated material science solutions to leading customers in the aerospace and defense sectors,” said Jared Kramer, Principal at SK Capital. “SK Capital invested in Axillon Aerospace to build on its commitment to innovation, quality and customer excellence as a leading provider of engineered carbon fiber composite components and fuel containment solutions for the defense and commercial aerospace markets.”
The company also announced that Kevin Vicha, a veteran aerospace and defense industry executive, has been named Chief Executive Officer of Axillon Aerospace. Kevin most recently served as CEO of Bromford Industries and previously held leadership roles at Pratt & Whitney, Engine Alliance and GKN Aerospace.
Kevin Vicha said: “Axillon Aerospace is well positioned for growth. Its design and manufacturing capabilities are proven on the world’s leading aerospace and defence platforms, and our advanced technologies will support the next generation of aerospace programs. The Axillon Aerospace team has built a solid foundation and I am excited to join and grow with our customers.”
