Sanyo Chemical develops biodiesel cold flow improver
Sanyo Chemical Industries, Ltd. has announced the development of Neoprover HBF-101, an innovative cold flow improver designed to improve the low-temperature flowability of biodiesel.
Biodiesel is a renewable, carbon-neutral alternative to conventional diesel made from vegetable oils and waste cooking oils. However, compared to fossil diesel, biodiesel tends to lose fluidity at low temperatures, which can lead to operational problems in cold climates if not properly modified.
The newly developed Neoprover HBF-101 significantly improves the low-temperature performance of biodiesel, helping to prevent engine failure in cold climates. This innovation supports the expansion of biodiesel use in different regions, helping to reduce CO2 emissions and promote the use of sustainable energy.
