ECHEMI 2025-01-14

Indian luxury beauty brand Ras Luxury Skincare has raised $5 million (Rs 43 crore) in Series A funding. The round was led by Unilever Ventures with participation from Amazon Smbhav Ventures, Sixth Sense Ventures and other angel investors.

The funds will be used for retail expansion, talent recruitment, R&D, product diversification, marketing and technological advancement. Ras was founded in 2017 by Shubhika Jain, Suramya Jain and Sangeeta Jain and initially focused on a direct-to-consumer (D2C) model to sell skincare and essential oils online.

Highlighting the growth potential of the Indian prestige beauty market, Pawan Chaturvedi, Head of Ventures, Asia, Unilever, said, “The Indian prestige beauty market is set to see significant growth over the next 5-7 years and Ras is well positioned to capture this opportunity with its unique value proposition.”
