Virospack Owner Investindustrial Acquires Eurovetrocap
Investindustrial announced on January 8 that it has acquired a majority stake in Eurovetrocap, a cosmetics packaging supplier based in Milan, Italy. Following the acquisition of Spain's Virospack in 2023, the investment company is strengthening its position in the beauty packaging sector.
Founded in 1983, Eurovetrocap focuses on the development, processing and distribution of glass, plastic and aluminum primary packaging for the skincare, cosmetics and pharmaceutical markets. With 140 employees, Eurovetrocap produces more than 280 million products per year and serves more than 3,000 customers, mainly small and independent brands. The company offers a diverse product range, customized services and fast turnaround times, and its products are sold in more than 90 countries through agents, distributors and commercial offices in Italy, France, the UK and the US.
Investindustrial said: "The founding Cattaneo family will retain a minority stake in the company and the existing management team will also remain in place."
Investindustrial intends to leverage the manufacturing and distribution capabilities and sales force of Eurovetrocap and Virospack to expand the market reach of both companies and deepen relationships with major groups and independent brands in the luxury and mass beauty markets.
The combination of Eurovetrocap and Virospack creates a cosmetic packaging platform with combined revenues of more than €120 million and nearly 500 employees.
