Jones-Hamilton Announces Acquisition of Nexchlor
Jones-Hamilton Company (JH), a leading producer and marketer of hydrochloric acid (HCl) and sodium bisulfate, announces the acquisition of Dallas-based Nexchlor LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Copperbeck Energy Partners LLC, a portfolio company of Tailwater Capital.
Headquartered in Maumee, Ohio, with chemical manufacturing operations in South Carolina and Ohio, JH supplies a broad range of branded and commodity chemicals to customers in more than 20 countries, serving a variety of markets including animal health and nutrition, water treatment, oil and gas, steel processing, and specialty chemicals.
As part of the Nexchlor acquisition, Jon Cupps joins Jones-Hamilton as Division Manager of the company’s Chemicals Division, responsible for JH’s hydrochloric acid business and related chlor-alkali sales activities. Cupps brings more than 20 years of experience managing businesses in the chlor-alkali industry to JH. In addition to its three HCl manufacturing operations, JH has established an extensive North American logistics network that includes terminals, a rail fleet of more than 300 vehicles, and a large fleet of tank trailers.
JH is a member of and committed to the American Chemistry Council's Responsible Care program, which focuses on safety and sustainability.
Tim Poure, President and CEO of Jones-Hamilton, said, "The Nexchlor business platform provides JH with a unique synergistic opportunity to strengthen its core HCl supply capabilities and deliver greater value to our existing North American customers. We look forward to continuing to build on Nexchlor's successful track record and valuing close partnerships with customers and suppliers."
