Beiersdorf Shares Rise as Sales Rise 6.5% in Fiscal 2024
Beiersdorf has published its results for the 2024 fiscal year. The group reported record sales of 9.9 billion euros, up 6.5% organically from the previous year. The maker of Nivea said its consumer goods division was the main sales driver, with sales of 8.2 billion euros, up 7.5% year-on-year.
Despite heavy brand investments, earnings before interest and tax rose to 1.4 billion euros and margins improved to 13.9%.
The company extended the contract of CEO Vincent Warnery until the end of 2030 and said it expects above-market sales growth in 2025, forecasting organic sales growth of between 4% and 6% for the consumer business unit.
Vincent Warnery, CEO of Beiersdorf, explains: “For the second year in a row, Beiersdorf is the best performing skin care company in the world. In 2024, we continued the excellent development of the past few years and set a new sales record even in a challenging market environment.
“The strong performance in 2024 is another milestone on our way to becoming the best skin care company in the world. Beiersdorf is fully committed to driving further growth together with our outstanding international team. We are focusing on our strong brands, delivering breakthrough innovations and expanding into new markets, categories and channels. With the Group’s guidance for 2025, we are confident that we will outperform the market again this year.”
