Beiersdorf Invests €300 Million to Expand Skincare Business, Doubles Production Capacity in Poznan
Beiersdorf has completed a €300 million expansion of its production site in Poznan, Poland, doubling annual production capacity to 500 million units and strengthening the site’s position as a key hub in the global skincare supply chain.
The expanded site will supply skincare products under the NIVEA, Eucerin and Flora brands to more than 100 international markets. Six new automated production lines and a microbiology laboratory have been put into operation, creating 200 new jobs. The Poznan site is one of Beiersdorf’s most modern sites and operates in a climate-neutral manner, as part of the company’s goal to decarbonize all production centers in Europe by 2025 and globally by 2030. The move follows Beiersdorf’s recent investments in plants in Mexico and Brazil, and will be preceded by the opening of a new distribution center in Leipzig in 2027.
As global demand for personal care products continues to grow, Beiersdorf's investment helps improve production scalability, supply chain resilience and sustainability. The expansion of the Poznan site ensures faster time to market in Europe and beyond, while strengthening the company's innovation and sustainability capabilities - both of which are key drivers of competitiveness in the evolving cosmetics industry.
