Mitsui Chemicals Establishes Coatings Technology Center in India
Mitsui Chemicals announced that its subsidiary, Mitsui Chemicals India, has established a coatings technology center in Gurgaon, Haryana. On February 18, Mitsui Chemicals India held an opening ceremony for the new center, which is designed to enhance the technical support capabilities of the company's coatings and engineering materials businesses.
The facility is equipped with coating machines capable of handling various coating methods, including gravure, reverse gravure and air knife, as well as analyzers. This allows customers' issues to be quickly resolved in India without having to send products to Japan for testing and evaluation. In addition, the coatings technology center will help customers develop products to maximize the use of Mitsui Chemicals' products by conducting research and development focused on the latest coating technologies and providing technical guidance to customers.
With the establishment of the coatings technology center, Mitsui Chemicals India is transforming from a raw material supplier to a solution provider. By continuing to enhance the capabilities of the coatings technology center, developing new products and establishing research centers, Mitsui Chemicals aims to further strengthen its business in India. In the process, the company is also eyeing to strengthen its technical support in regions such as the Middle East and Africa.
Mitsui Chemicals said it will continue to pursue technological innovation based on a global perspective and continue to work hard to meet the diverse needs of customers.
