China National Chemical Engineering Signs 59.79 Billion Yuan in New Contracts in March Surging Over 60 Percent

ECHEMI 2025-04-12

On April 8, China National Chemical Engineering Co., Ltd. (CNCEC) revealed its March 2025 performance data, reporting a remarkable 60.71% year-on-year increase in newly signed contracts, reaching 59.79 billion yuan. Of this total, 54.71 billion yuan came from the domestic market, while 5.08 billion yuan was generated overseas.

Among the major international deals, CNCEC’s subsidiary TCC (Tianchen Company) secured an EPC contract with Alamein Silicon Industries in Egypt for a 45,000-ton annual industrial silicon project, a core component of Egypt’s green energy shift. TCC also signed a bioethanol fuel project in Egypt based on beet molasses. These projects reflect CNCEC’s growing influence in overseas clean energy and silicon-based industrial chains.

CNCEC has built over 70,000 chemical facilities globally, supported by a network of more than 150 international branches across 80+ countries, reinforcing its global leadership in oil and gas services. Its expertise spans coal-to-chemicals, nitrogen fertilizers, methanol, TDI, polysilicon, and beyond, with successful execution of world-scale projects such as the 35 million tons/year Dangote refinery in Nigeria and the 1.8 million tons/year methanol plant.

In 2023, CNCEC recorded revenue of 179.2 billion yuan, up 13.10%, with net profits of 5.43 billion yuan. Its chemical engineering business alone accounted for over 80% of total revenue.

The company’s new materials division has also shown strong momentum. Projects like the 300,000 tons/year coal-to-EG plant, aerogel production base, and breakthroughs in biodegradable plastics, POE elastomers, and flame-retardant nylons demonstrate its leadership in advanced materials.

Subsidiaries like TCC Qixiang, Hualu New Materials, and Tianchen Yaolong have delivered cutting-edge projects, breaking foreign monopolies in adiponitrile and producing world-record single-line capacities for key materials like caprolactam.

With strategic expansions and bold investments exceeding 100 billion yuan, CNCEC is not just a chemical contractor—it’s reshaping global industrial landscapes.
