Eli Lilly to Launch Higher-Dose Weight-Loss Drug Zepbound at $499 Per Month
On June 16, 2025, Eli Lilly announced it will begin selling higher-dose versions of its popular weight-loss drug Zepbound through its website LillyDirect. Starting July 7, healthcare providers can prescribe the 12.5 mg and 15 mg vials, with shipments to self-paying patients beginning in early August.
The higher doses will cost $499 per month. Lilly had previously introduced the two lowest doses of Zepbound in vials last year and began offering them at a discount in February. Zepbound, typically sold in auto-injector pens, has gained significant popularity in the weight-loss market.
