Bodo Möller Chemie to Acquire Adhesive Chemicals Business of Aqua Engineering Services
Bodo Möller Chemie Group, a leading global provider of specialty chemical products and solutions, announces the signing of an asset purchase agreement with Aqua Engineering Services, a Bangalore-based company specializing in fluid transfer in water treatment and industrial adhesive chemical solutions.
Under the agreement, Bodo Möller Chemie will acquire the assets of the Adhesive Chemicals business of Aqua Engineering Services, strengthening its presence in the Indian subcontinent and expanding its capabilities across multiple industries such as automotive, electronics and rail.
This strategic acquisition is in line with Bodo Möller Chemie’s long-term vision to provide innovative, sustainable and high-performance chemical solutions to industries such as automotive electronics, manufacturing, energy and infrastructure in India and adjacent markets.
"India remains a key growth market for Bodo Möller Chemie and this acquisition enables us to expand our footprint and better serve regional customers with localized expertise," said Frank Haug, Chairman and CEO of the Bodo Möller Chemie Group.
"We welcome the Aqua Engineering team and customers to our global network," Haug added.
Upon completion of the acquisition, Aqua Engineering's customer relationships, product portfolio and technical resources will be integrated into Bodo Möller Chemie's existing India operations. A seamless transition plan has been developed to ensure continued service quality and business continuity.
The transaction is expected to close in the third quarter of 2025, subject to customary closing conditions. Both companies are working closely together to ensure a smooth transition for all stakeholders.
