Bodo Möller adds DowAksa carbon fiber products to its portfolio
Bodo Möller Chemie Group is entering into a partnership with DowAksa, a fully integrated carbon fiber manufacturer. The cooperation agreement between the two companies enables Bodo Möller Chemie to expand its product portfolio to include extremely strong, stiff and lightweight carbon fiber products.
The new products offer real added value, especially for customers in the high-tech sector, rail vehicle construction, automotive, aerospace and wind turbine industries. They are a perfect complement to the high-performance resins already in Bodo Möller Chemie's portfolio.
"The collaboration with DowAksa enables us to significantly expand our range of innovative materials and thus strengthen our market position in a promising industry. This partnership will provide decisive advantages for our customers, giving them access to high-quality products and comprehensive technological expertise," said Frank Haug, CEO of the Bodo Möller Chemie Group.
Through this strategic partnership, Bodo Möller Chemie is responding to the growing demand for lightweight, high-performance materials by offering DowAksa solutions to customers in the EU, UK, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Switzerland.
At the heart of this collaboration are advanced carbon fibers and carbon fiber-reinforced intermediate products such as fabrics, prepregs and pultruded profiles. Carbon fiber-based materials are extremely strong and lightweight and can be used in a wide range of applications where weight reduction, emissions reduction, durability and energy efficiency are key performance factors.
The inclusion of DowAksa products in its portfolio means that Bodo Möller Chemie can now offer customers a unique combination of high-performance resins and carbon fibers for composite manufacturing from a single supplier. Customers also receive extensive technical support and enhanced consulting from the experts. The new partnership creates synergies and makes it possible to develop customized solutions for specific requirements.
“The collaboration with DowAksa reinforces our commitment to sustainable technologies and highlights our focus on lightweight solutions and premium raw materials,” explains Dr. Eric Hernandez, Business Director EMEA at Bodo Möller Chemie.
“Our partnership marks a major milestone in our mission to serve our European customers with precision and excellence,” said Massimo Rebolini, CEO of DowAksa. “By delivering high-performance, tailored carbon fiber solutions, we advance sustainability while increasing productivity. This collaboration reflects our commitment to meeting the growing demand for lightweight, strong, energy-efficient materials and making a meaningful contribution to a more sustainable future.”
