Evonik completed the construction of the world's largest PA12 integrated production base
On July 9, German specialty chemicals company Evonik announced that the construction of a new integrated polyamide 12 (PA12) production facility in the Maer Chemical Park in Germany has been completed and is expected to be put into operation within this year.
Evonik stated that the new integrated production facility has been completed in less than two years. At present, each production unit will gradually be put into normal operation, and it is expected to be fully put into operation in the fourth quarter. The production facility created 120 new high-skilled jobs and increased the total production capacity of Evonik PA12 by more than 50%.
The project has invested nearly 500 million euros, which is Evonik’s largest investment project in Germany so far. The Marl base in Germany will also become Evonik’s largest integrated PA12 production base in the world.
