According to the commodity market analysis system: On February 25, 2025, the average price was 1443 CNY/ton. The current coke market prices in China are mainly stable with a slight downward trend. Recent price fluctuations have been small, and the market trading atmosphere is light. Most enterprises maintain procurement based on demand, and inventory levels are high, lacking significant momentum for large price increases or decreases in the short term.
2. Market Analysis
Price Overview: On February 25, metallurgical coke prices in the Handan market remained stable. Currently, the price for Grade-1 dry-quenched coke ranges from 1,560 to 1,580 CNY per ton, while the price for Grade-1 wet-quenched coke is 1,390 CNY per ton—all quoted ex-factory, cash-inclusive of tax. On February 25, metallurgical coke prices in the Tangshan market also remained stable. The prevailing market transaction prices are as follows: 1,735 CNY per ton for Grade-1 coking coke produced via ramming and dry quenching, and 1,805 CNY per ton for Grade-1 coking coke produced via top-charging and dry quenching—all quoted ex-factory, cash-inclusive of tax. On February 25, foundry coke prices in the Lüliang market remained stable as well. Currently, the prices are 2,600 CNY per ton for large-sized Grade-1 foundry coke and 2,700 CNY per ton for medium-sized Grade-1 foundry coke—all quoted ex-factory, cash-inclusive of tax.
3. Future Market Forecast
Coke analysts believe that in the short term, coke prices will operate in a narrow and weak range, with prices mainly remaining stable.
