October 26 report:
According to the commodity market analysis system: At the beginning of the month, the price of activated carbon was 12,466 CNY per ton, and at the end of the month, the price of activated carbon was 12,533 CNY per ton, with a price increase of 0.53%.
Chinese activated carbon prices have increased for most manufacturers this week. The factory price of coconut shell activated carbon for water purification in East China ranges between 9,000 and 13,000 CNY per ton, with relatively firm prices. Due to the strong prices of upstream coconut shell carbonized materials and the increase in import costs, there is limited room for price reductions, and the overall trend is stable and slightly stronger.
Demand Side: Demand for coconut-shell charcoal in gold extraction and the new‑energy sectors remains relatively stable, underpinning firm market prices. In the short term, the market is expected to trend moderately stronger amid volatility. Upstream prices for coconut‑shell carbonization feedstock remain resilient; coupled with tight raw‑material supplies from major Southeast Asian producers—Indonesia and the Philippines—and rising logistics costs, these factors are providing support at the lower end of the price range.
Prediction: The tight supply trend of upstream raw materials in China is unlikely to change in the short term, and it is expected that the price of activated carbon will mainly remain strong with some fluctuations in the near future.
