ADAMA Targets Sucking Pests with Ateka
ADAMA’s launch of Ateka insecticide in the United States is a reminder that product launches in crop protection are no longer sold on active ingredient alone. According to AgroPages, Ateka is a high-content systemic formulation built around spirotetramat and ADAMA’s proprietary Ayalon formulation technology. It is aimed at sucking pests in fruits and vegetables, including aphids, psyllids, mites, scale insects, thrips, leafminers, mealybugs, and whiteflies, and has been registered for crops ranging from citrus and pome fruit to grapes, leafy vegetables, and fruiting vegetables.
What stands out in the positioning is the emphasis on uptake and movement. The article explains that Ateka is designed to improve penetration on leaf surfaces and speed overall plant absorption.
