Baling Petrochemical's epoxy resin and epichlorohydrin expansion project was approved
Sinopec Baling Petrochemical Co., Ltd. 20,000 tons/year one-step solid resin plant and epichlorohydrin plant production increase and emission reduction technological transformation project was approved by the environmental review. The total investment of the project amounts to 15.6392 million yuan. The approval information was disclosed by Yueyang City Ecological Environment Bureau on August 26, 2021.
The 20,000-ton/year one-step solid resin plant uses bisphenol A, epichlorohydrin, 50% NaOH solution, etc. as the main raw materials, and uses a solvent process. Through the technical transformation of the existing plant, the solid resin production capacity is increased by 2 10,000 tons/year increased to 30,000 tons/year, the main content of the transformation is: adding a pre-reactor and supporting facilities, increasing the amount of feed and optimizing the feeding method, switching to 50% caustic soda, and increasing the speed of product packaging;
The epichlorohydrin plant uses propylene, chlorine, 3-chloropropene, lime milk, etc. as the main raw materials, and adopts the cyclization process. Through the technical transformation of the existing equipment, the production capacity of epichlorohydrin is increased from 27,000 tons per year. To 31,000 tons/year, the main content of the transformation is: by replacing the cyclization reaction mixer, without increasing the water volume of the chlorohydrin reaction process, increasing the feed rate of chloropropene and chlorine, and increasing the concentration of dichloropropanol from 3.9% To 4.5-4.8%, and change the installation position of some equipment to reduce the pressure of the reaction system and optimize the cooling of the cyclization water to increase the production capacity of the device to 31,000 tons.
