Heilongjiang: the added value of agriculture, forestry, husbandry and fishery

News from the Heilongjiang provincial government has recently been released in 2018, the Heilongjiang provincial statistical bulletin on national economic and social development. According to the communique, Heilongjiang Province's grain output in 2018 was 75,068,000 tons, ranking first in the country for eight consecutive years. The added value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery was 307.99 billion yuan, an increase of 3.8% over the previous year.
The added value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery in the whole province was 307.99 billion yuan, an increase of 3.8% over the previous year in terms of comparable prices. Among them, the added value of planting industry was 22.37 billion yuan, an increase of 4.5%; the added value of forestry was 9.75 billion yuan, an increase of 58%; the added value of animal husbandry was 61.29 billion yuan, an increase of 0.6%; the added value of fishery was 5.28 billion yuan, an increase of 74%; and the added value of agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fishery services was 79 billion yuan, an increase of 78%.
The area of Soil Erosion Comprehensive Control in the whole province is 425,000 hectares. Rural electricity consumption increased by 3.8% to 8.28 billion degrees, while fertilizer application decreased by 2.2% to 2.456 million tons.
The grain output of the whole province was 75.068 million tons, an increase of 1.3% over the previous year, ranking first in the country for eight consecutive years. Among them, 26.855 million tons of rice, 36.2 million tons of wheat, 39.822 million tons of corn and 6.578 million tons of soybeans were used, respectively. Rice, wheat and soybeans decreased by 4.7%, 5.0% and 4.6%, respectively, and maize production increased by 7.5%.
Economic crop cultivation in the whole province is developing towards high quality, with an area of 625,000 mu of medicinal materials, an increase of 26.7% over the previous year; the output of sweet corn is 108,000 tons, an increase of 85.7% over the previous year; and the output of nuts (pine nuts, hazelnuts and walnuts) is 12.7% higher than the previous year.
The total number of live pigs in the province was 13.532 million and 19.644 million, respectively, which decreased by 5.6% and 6.0% compared with the previous year. The number of cattle and sheep in the province was 2.72 million and 7.439 million, respectively, which decreased by 4.0% and 4.7%. The output of pork, beef, mutton and poultry were 1.499 million tons, 426,000 tons, 125,000 tons and 413,000 tons respectively. Egg and raw milk yields were 1.085 million tons and 4.559 million tons, respectively. At the end of the year, the planting area of green food in the province was 80.467 million mu, an increase of 5.4% over the previous year; the number of green food certification was 2700, an increase of 5.5% over the previous year; and the green food industry affected 1.31 million farmers. The output of green food processing enterprises reached 17.9 million tons, an increase of 2.9%; the output value reached 165 billion yuan, an increase of 2.2%; the profit and tax reached 9.89 billion yuan, an increase of 0.4%.
