Klein joins the World Business Council for Sustainable Development

Clariant, a dedicated and innovative special chemical company, recently announced that it has become the latest member of the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD). WBCSD is composed of more than 200 top companies from all business sectors and major economies. After joining WBCSD, Klein can join hands with like-minded partners to continue to strengthen and implement its sustainable development strategy, which will have a real impact on the sustainable development of global enterprises. Christian Kohlpaintner, a member of the Executive Committee of Klein, said: "We are delighted to join WBCSD and work with other member enterprises to implement the important commitment of accelerating the transition to a sustainable world. Sustainable development is an important pillar of Corian's corporate strategy. Our customers rely on innovative solutions to meet their sustainable development needs. We are particularly interested in WBCSD's innovative work in sustainable cities, climate and energy, and circular economy, and we look forward to contributing to it through our knowledge and innovative technologies.
Because of the tireless efforts for sustainable development, Klein has been listed on the Dow Jones Sustainable Development Index (DJSI) for six consecutive years. In addition, Klein invests a large amount of research and development funds every year to start research on important sustainable development trends, such as energy efficiency, renewable raw materials, zero-emission vehicles and saving limited resources.
