India's cold chain market will reach $37 million by 2024
According to foreign media, an industry report predicts that the annual composite growth rate (CAGR) of India's cold chain market will increase by 14.8% between 2019 and 2024. The current market value of $16.14 billion is expected to reach $37.7 billion by 2024. Research AndMarkets.Com reports that this growth is attributed to the growth of the organized food retail sector, which will enable consumers to access a large number of fresh foods. Consumer demand for processed foods has also contributed to the growth of the industry, the report said. In addition, the Indian government has established several large food parks to encourage the industry to move in this direction.
