In March, the ex-factory price of chemical raw materials decreased year on year.

The National Bureau of Statistics today released PPI data for March 2019. The factory price of industrial producers increased by 0.4% year-on-year and 0.1% year-on-year, while the purchase price of industrial producers increased by 0.2% year-on-year and was flat annually. In March, the ex-factory prices of chemical raw materials and chemicals manufacturing industry fell by 0.4% year-on-year, 2.5% year-on-year.
In terms of ring ratio, PPI decreased by 0.1% from last month to increased by 0.1%. Among them, the price of means of production changed from flat last month to 0.2%, and the price of means of livelihood changed from flat last month. Among the major industries, oil and gas production increased by 5.6%, 0.6 percentage points more than last month; oil, coal and other fuel processing industry increased by 2.3%, 1.4 percentage points; ferrous metal smelting and calendering industry increased by 1.1%, 0.8 percentage points. The decline was narrowed by 0.2% in the manufacturing of computers, communications and other electronic equipment, and 0.6% in the manufacturing of electrical machinery and equipment. The decline was 0.1% and 0.3% in the manufacturing of electrical machinery and equipment. Prices in the automotive industry have been flat since falling last month. Coal mining and washing prices fell by 0.1%, the same as last month.
PPI rose 0.4% year-on-year, an increase of 0.3 percentage points over the previous month. Among them, the price of means of production fell to 0.3% from last month, while the price of means of livelihood rose by 0.5%, an increase of 0.1 percentage points over last month. Among the major industries, oil and gas production rose by 9.7%, while oil, coal and other fuel processing industries rose by 3.5%. The decline was narrowed by 1.8% in the manufacturing of electrical machinery and equipment, down 0.2 percentage points from last month; 1.5% in the ferrous metal smelting and calendering industries, down 0.5 percentage points; and 0.6% in the automobile manufacturing industry, down 0.1 percentage points. In addition, computer, telecommunications and other electronic equipment manufacturing prices rose by 0.2%, an increase of 0.1 percentage points over last month. In the first quarter, the ex-factory price of industrial producers increased by 0.2% compared with the same period last year, and the purchase price of industrial producers increased by 0.1%.
