The National Bureau of Statistics today released national CPI (consumer price index) and PPI (producer price index) data for September 2019. Shen Yun, Senior Statistician of the city Department of the National Bureau of statistics, interpreted this. 1. CPI rose 0.9% on a month on month basis, 0.2 percentage points higher than last month. Among them, food prices rose by 3.5%, 0.3 percentage points higher, affecting CPI by about 0.73 percentage points; non food prices rose by 0.2%, 0.1 percentage points higher, affecting CPI by about 0.15 percentage points. In food, the supply of pork is tight, and the price continues to rise by 19.7%, 3.4 percentage points lower than last month, affecting CPI to rise by about 0.65 percentage points. Affected by the increase in demand for cool weather and consumption substitution, the prices of beef, mutton, chicken, duck and egg increased by 4.0% - 7.7%, affecting the CPI increase by about 0.16%. The supply of fresh vegetables was sufficient, and the price dropped by 2.4%, which affected the CPI drop by about 0.06%.

Apples, pears and other fruits were on the market in large quantities, and the price of fresh fruits dropped by 7.6%, affecting the CPI drop by about 0.15%. In the non food sector, affected by the start of the new semester, the price of education services rose by 1.8%; affected by the change of seasons, the price of clothing rose by 0.9%. The above two items affected the CPI rise by about 0.17%. After the summer vacation, the number of people traveling decreased. The prices of air tickets, travel agency charges and hotel accommodation decreased by 14.8%, 6.0% and 1.5%, respectively. The three factors together affected the CPI decline by about 0.14 percentage points. From a year-on-year perspective, CPI rose 3.0%, 0.2 percentage points higher than last month. Among them, food prices rose by 11.2%, 1.2 percentage points higher, affecting CPI growth by about 2.21 percentage points; non food prices rose by 1.0%, the growth dropped by 0.1 percentage points, affecting CPI growth by about 0.82 percentage points. Among foods, pork prices rose 69.3%, an increase of 22.6 percentage points, affecting CPI growth of about 1.65 percentage points.

The price of beef, mutton, chicken, duck and egg rose between 9.4% and 18.8%; the price of fresh fruit rose by 7.7%, down 16.3%. The total of the above six items affected CPI growth by about 0.49%. The price of fresh vegetables decreased by 11.8%, which affected the CPI decrease by about 0.33%. Among non food products, the prices of health care, education, culture, entertainment and clothing rose by 2.2%, 1.7% and 1.6% respectively, which affected the CPI growth by about 0.51%. The price of transportation and communication dropped by 2.9%, affecting CPI by about 0.35%. It is estimated that in the 3.0% year-on-year increase in September, the tail raising impact of last year's price change is about - 0.1 percentage points, and the impact of new price increase is about 3.1 percentage points. Second, PPI rose slightly on a month-on-month basis, with a year-on-year decline expanding. Among the major industries, agricultural and sideline food processing industry increased by 1.8%, 0.4 percentage points higher than last month; non ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry increased by 1.1%, 0.8 percentage points higher, of which silver smelting increased by 8.0%, and gold smelting increased by 4.0%. From up to down, there were ferrous metal mining and beneficiation industry, down 2.4%; oil, coal and other fuel processing industry, down 0.2%. The price of oil and natural gas exploitation industry decreased by 1.1% from flat to low. The price of ferrous metal smelting and calendering industry decreased by 1.3% and the decrease increased by 0.6%. In addition, the price of computer, communication and other electronic equipment manufacturing industry increased by 0.6% from a decline. From a year-on-year perspective, PPI decreased by 1.2%, 0.4 percentage points higher than last month. Among them, the price of means of production decreased by 2.0%, with an increase of 0.7%; the price of means of living increased by 1.1%, with an increase of 0.4%. Among the major industries, oil and natural gas exploitation industry decreased by 13.4%, 4.3 percentage points higher than last month; oil, coal and other fuel processing industry decreased by 9.6%, 3.7 percentage points higher; ferrous metal smelting and calendering industry decreased by 5.8%, 2.7 percentage points higher; chemical raw materials and chemical products manufacturing industry decreased by 5.5%, 0.9 percentage points higher. Among them, ferrous metal mining and beneficiation industry increased by 15.7%, down by 6.0%; coal mining and beneficiation industry increased by 0.2%, down by 0.7%. Agricultural and sideline food processing industry increased by 4.0%, 1.2% and non-ferrous metal smelting and rolling processing industry by 1.0%, 0.8%. It is estimated that in the 1.2% year-on-year decline in September, the tail raising impact of last year's price change is about - 0.7 percentage points, and the impact of new price increase is about - 0.5 percentage points.
