How to make liquid glass sodium silicate is a question that comes from many people who want to make liquid glass by using sodium silicate. Sodium silicate is a chemical which makes the water and sand mixture to gel and turn into a good liquid glass.

3. Next, stir the mixture before heating it up to temperature of 575 degrees Fahrenheit (280 Celsius) to 650 degrees Fahrenheit (340 Celsius). Do not boil it. Only use a temperature from 450 of 550 degrees Fahrenheit (232 - 262 degrees Celsius). 

4. During the heating up process, there are chances that the mixture will get thick because sodium silicate will create more salt as it is heated up. If this happens, add more water until a thin liquid glass is created again. The mixture should be clear and transparent when you see through it.

5. Dissolve sodium hydroxide into silicate and slowly heat the mixture to 575-650 degrees Fahrenheit (280-340 Celsius). Stirring will prevent fine particles from forming during heating up process and clumping solid materials during cooling down process.

6. Once the liquid glass sodium silicate is done, you can use it as a project for kids or for adults. You can use it for making a large round window that has the shape of a dome or raising small columns out of water. You can also use it to make a wall made from glass.

Uses of liquid glass sodium silicate 

A). It secures animals from predators and helps them find water.

C). It is also a good chemical for preventing heat transfer in general.

This chemical is also used to make the glass on the space shuttle heat up slowly. It does this because it makes the glass to shrink and prevents any pressure from forming in the shuttle. High pressure can result in broken windows, which can cause fatal damages to astronauts. 

D). It prevents water from freezing.

You can use liquid glass sodium silicate to make this happen as it makes all of water molecules adhere together and form into an ice crystal or a snowflake, depending on how cold your temperature is outside.

E). It is also used for blocking a small amount of light from going through it or from reflecting any of it out because the shrinking of the water molecules will cause them to bend the light if any.

F). Liquid glass sodium silicate has solvent properties like that of water, but much stronger than that water.

This chemical is also known as a "super wet" compound and liquid glass sodium silicate is able to break down the dirt and other contaminants that are usually located in the water sources where it can be used with by using its strong absorption power, which causes contaminated water to sink down and stay there in a very intricate way.
