Titanium Dioxide Prices Up New Capacity is Coming into Production
This week, many enterprises in the titanium dioxide market confirmed the new price. At the beginning of the week, manufacturers in southwest and South China based on anatase increased 200-500 CNY/ton, and individual rutile manufacturers also increased 500-700 CNY/ton. In addition, individual manufacturers in Sichuan sealed the single week, and intended to increase. At present, the average ex-factory price of rutile is 19,990 CNY/ton, 50 CNY/ton higher than last week, and the average ex-factory price of anatase is 17,940 CNY/ton, 75 CNY/ton higher than last week.
This week, the chlorination products in Jinhai, Shandong will also be sold normally. The ex-factory price of CR6618 is about 20,000 CNY/ton. In addition, citic Titanium's new 60,000-ton chlorination device and Guizhou Shengwei's new 70,000-ton sulfuric acid anatase device will also start normal mass production next month.
The maintenance equipment of Longbai Xiangyang base will be restored within this week. At present, only some devices of some manufacturers in Shandong have been repaired, and the overall operation of the industry is more than 80%. The supply side is stable and the demand side is about to recover. In north China, due to the impact of the Winter Olympic Games, the downstream enterprises have been delayed, but the Winter Olympic Games will close this weekend, and the downstream demand will gradually return to normal from next week. The southern downstream also begins to resume production after the 15th day of the first lunar month, so next week may usher in the downstream purchasing tide.
A total of 130,000 tons of new devices of Citic Titanium and Guizhou Shengwei will be put into production in March. March and April after the first lunar month are also the traditional peak seasons for the New Year. The increase in supply may match the increase in the demand for the New Year, so that the market will have a smooth transition and not rise too much.
