Sino-US Symposium on Natural Health Products

Botanicals are widely used worldwide. According to the stated "intended use", plants and related ingredients can be used in traditional Chinese medicine, health food, and dietary supplements registered in the United States and other countries.In the context of the global supply chain, one of the challenges facing the industry is how to achieve regulatory compliance in the international trade of plant ingredients used as medicines, health food or dietary supplements.
On June 18, 2019, Sino-US natural health products symposium was held at SNIEC, Shanghai. At the symposium, experts focused on how to ensure the quality, safety and efficacy of dietary supplements, health foods and herbal medicines in the global supply chain through the Chinese and American pharmacopoeia public standards.The one-day workshop will gather industry associations, industry and academic stakeholders to address regulatory challenges and regulatory compliance requirements in a global supply chain environment.
