The Winter Olympic Games Rice Bowl is a Relative of Yogurt
Citing Anhui Daily on February 10, the Beijing Winter Olympic Games are in full swing, and the food in the competition area is also welcomed by athletes and journalists from all over the world, but do you know what kind of rice bowls they are serving?

The beige plate and bowl and spoon, finger tapping, sounding crisp, looks like plastic, but in fact is the biodegradable environmental tableware produced by Anhui Fengyuan Biotechnology Co.

"As the official biodegradable tableware supplier for the Beijing Winter Olympics and Winter Paralympics, we provide 28 types and a total of tens of millions of pieces (sets) of tableware, including disposable knives, forks, spoons, lunch boxes, plates, straws, reusable plates, bowls, cups, chopsticks, spoons, plates, etc." Feng Yuan Biological Chairman Chen Liping said.
Green, is the bright color of the Beijing Winter Olympics. The Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee adheres to the concept of "green, sharing, open and clean" to reduce the use of non-degradable single-use plastic products as much as possible and accelerate the application of new ideas, new technologies and new products.
After screening by the Beijing Winter Olympic Organizing Committee, Feng Yuan Bio was selected from more than 30 similar enterprises to provide biodegradable tableware for all three competition areas of Beijing, Yanqing and Zhangjiakou for the Winter Olympic Games and the Winter Paralympic Games.
The material of Feng Yuan biodegradable tableware is polylactic acid, which is an all-biological biodegradable material made of corn, straw and other biomass raw materials through fermentation and extraction of lactic acid, and then polymerization, with low-carbon, green and environmental characteristics.
PLA products are completely biodegradable after use, and no microplastics and toxic and harmful gases are generated during the degradation process, which is a typical representative of environment-friendly materials.

"PLA originated from a biological base, is the raw material for medical absorbable sutures, free bone nails, can simply be considered as processed from the 'yogurt' that everyone drinks, safe and harmless."
Chen Liping introduced, Feng Yuan biological research and development and testing for more than a year, the launch of "high heat-resistant polylactic acid sheet and its products key technology" by the Department of Science and Technology of Anhui Province, in the international leading level.
"This technology is applied to the Olympic products, while according to national standards, the EU food safety requirements and the Beijing Winter Olympic Organizing Committee requirements, we for all the Olympic products for more than half a year of use test, to ensure food safety is foolproof."
PLA tableware is made from crops that absorb carbon dioxide during growth, and compared to traditional petrochemicals, the production of one ton of PLA can reduce carbon by 3.2 tons.
Chen Liping said, "In order to achieve the 'double carbon' goal of carbon peaking by 2030 and carbon neutral by 2060, we need new green products to replace traditional materials, and PLA's low-carbon, green and environmentally friendly features have been widely recognized by society.
As the only full industry chain PLA producer in China, we are the first to break through the PLA 'neck' technology in the country and are now rapidly expanding our production capacity to make a greater contribution to the green development of China's material industry."
