Suqian garlic price will be 10 yuan per kilogram at the end of the year

Garlic is an indispensable ingredient for every household to cook. People who often buy vegetables may find that the price of garlic has been soaring all the time in recent years. The price of one or two yuan a kilo in the past has now been sold to six or seven yuan. Is "garlic you cruel" coming back again? Early on June 30, the reporter went to the market to explore.
In the morning, reporters in some of the urban agricultural markets saw that a variety of fresh vegetables were placed in a prominent position. The stall owner said that the price of vegetables has remained basically stable recently, but the price of garlic has risen significantly, and many citizens can not afford to spend it. Journalists have learned that the price of garlic is more than 6 yuan per kilogram. Generally, one garlic is about to be sold. According to the vendor, the price of garlic was only about 3 yuan a month ago, but now it has doubled directly. Compared with the same period last year, garlic prices have increased several times as much as rocket prices. The soaring price of garlic has also brought down sales. A basket of garlic could be sold out in two days, but now it can't be sold in three or four days. Garlic farmer Li Jinliang has been planting garlic for more than ten years. According to him, the reason why garlic prices are so high is because there is a little less garlic on the market. Professionals said that garlic planting area has decreased dramatically this year. Taking Jinxiang, Shandong Province as an example, garlic planting area has decreased by more than 30% this year compared with last year. Coupled with this year's increase in garlic exports, price increases are inevitable. At present, garlic consumption is still in the off-season. Professionals predict that the price of garlic will continue to rise in the second half of the year. It is expected that garlic will be sold to 10 yuan a kilo around the Spring Festival. Reporters learned that the rising price of garlic has attracted the attention of many planting areas. Local agricultural departments are also guiding farmers to plant garlic area, increasing investment in mechanized production, increasing subsidies for equipment, and effectively reducing garlic planting costs, so as to gradually reduce garlic prices.
