The company has also been involved in the counterfeiting of "sweet potato vermicelli" and "yam vermicelli".

　

　It is understood that Yuzhou is an important vermicelli production base in China, and the vermicelli that were exposed this time did not meet the standards in many aspects such as raw materials and environmental hygiene.

For example, the machines used to process the vermicelli were covered in stains and the narrow aisles were filled with bags of tapioca starch, which workers mixed with a small amount of corn starch and tapioca starch to shovel into the machines and make into vermicelli after a multi-stage process.

The drying area is next to the toilets and is full of sewage, while the vermicelli is locally known as "currency". In the market, tapioca starch is less than 2 yuan per catty, while sweet potato starch is about 4 yuan per catty. In order to save money, using tapioca starch instead of sweet potato starch is a common local production method.

Currently, 80% of sweet potato vermicelli produced in Yuzhou is made from tapioca starch plus about 15% corn starch.

　

　On the same night, the Taobao shop "Yuzhang" was shut down. The Henan Provincial Market Supervision Administration has instructed the local supervisory authorities to seal the production and business premises involved, seize the raw materials and products involved and order the production and business activities to stop.

In the early hours of the following day, the Yuzhou Municipal Bureau of Market Supervision seized and detained the enterprises involved, and all those in charge of the enterprises were taken away by the public security authorities for investigation, and a corresponding remediation work plan was introduced.
