Beijing police crack down on food crimes and eliminate over 170 black workshops

Beijing police informed on July 1 that the police, in conjunction with market supervision and other administrative departments, have cracked down on illegal and criminal acts in the field of food according to law. Since this year, more than 160 cases of food-related crimes have been cracked down, 170 food "black workshops" have been smashed, and more than 300 people have been detained criminally.
On February 28, the Beijing Police Joint Market Supervisory Department destroyed the stores where fake condiments were sold and arrested the suspect Zhang Moujian. More than 10 kinds of counterfeit condiments, including soy sauce, monosodium glutamate and chicken essence, were picked up at the scene, involving more than 20 brands and nearly 1,000 boxes.
According to the confession of the criminal suspect Zhang Mou, he started to operate condiments in early 2018, but found it hard not to earn money. He believed that selling counterfeit goods was "profitable and quick to earn money". He took the chance to join the ranks of "selling counterfeit products", and bought a large number of counterfeit condiments at a third of the price of genuine products and stored them in the warehouse for opportunity to sell. Selling, profiteering. The man was detained by the police according to law for the crime of selling counterfeit registered trademarks.
In view of the illegal and criminal acts of manufacturing and selling counterfeit brand barreled water, the Beijing Public Security Bureau's Environmental Food, Drug and Tourism Safety and Security Corps has organized Xicheng, Chaoyang, Haidian and Daxing sub-bureaus to carry out special operations this year, knocking down 11 "black workshops" for manufacturing and selling counterfeit barreled water and detaining 24 people in criminal detention.
Among them, a case of counterfeiting barreled water "Black Workshop" occurred in a factory building in Weishanzhuang, Daxing District, Beijing. On April 21, Beijing police smashed it up and seized a set of canned equipment, more than 100 barrels of counterfeit brand barreled water, and nearly 10,000 counterfeit trademark labels. After investigation, the suspect Chen Mouwei was punished by the administrative department in August 2018 because he was engaged in barreled water management without a business license. Since then, the person still did not stop, re-purchased simple filtration equipment for assembly, after the tap water filtration, direct barrel irrigation, labeling, wholesale sales at about 1 yuan. The man was detained by the police in accordance with the law on suspicion of counterfeiting registered trademarks.
Beijing police said that they would continue to cooperate with market supervision and other departments to crack down on such prominent crimes as fake and inferior drinks, illegal addition of health food and false propaganda.
