Understanding Hydrogenated Oil
What Is Hydrogenated Oil?
Hydrogenated oil, also known as "vegetable cream", "vegetable butter" and "vegetable creamer". Widely used in the field of food baking such as bread, cheese, margarine, cakes and biscuits.
Hydrogenated oil is artificially infused with hydrogen gas in unsaturated edible oil that is originally beneficial to the human brain and human body. The double bond in the unsaturated fatty acid molecule is combined with the hydrogen atom to form a fatty acid with a lower degree of unsaturation.
Hydrogenated oils produce large amounts of trans fatty acids, which increase the risk of cardiovascular disease, diabetes, and more.
Is Hydrogenated Oil Bad for You?
The officials rarely yank safe status and sadly when they do, it usually only happens when people get sick and die. Dr. Al Sears says for example, in the United States it happened with partially hydrogenated oils or trans fats (Margarines). They were considered safe for years. But in 2013 the US Food and Drugs Administration (UDA) withdrew its safe status after these fats were linked to serious heart disease. Yet the FDA still permits trans fats at low levels in foods.

Hydrogenated Oil Uses
ü Commonly use as food additive in baking
It is understood that the application of special oils in the baking field is the largest. In the past, my country’s food industry fats and oils were mainly lard, palm oil or hydrogenated oil.
ü Composition of new materials—Lamesoft®Balance
It is composed of hydrogenated castor oil and vegetable oil-based alkyl glycosides (APG). It prevents the aggregation of small particles and reduces the settling rate of waxes in surfactant systems, especially those that can micellar thicken.
Foods with Hydrogenated Oil
Sauces such as peanut butter and salad dressing contain too many trans fatty acids because hydrogenated vegetable oil is added during the preparation process, making the sauce thick and creamy.
It is worth reminding that coffee mates contain too many trans fatty acids, and hydrogenated vegetable oil is the main ingredient of phytolipid, so you can't put coffee mates when drinking coffee, you might as well replace it with condensed milk or milk;
