BASF, Huntsman, etc. Have Entered The 'White List'! How Many People Refuse To Go Back To Work?
Recently, there have been news on social platforms that 3M, DuPont, BASF and other companies have refused to resume work and production. The reporter verified with the above-mentioned companies and said that the rumors were not true.
3M responded that since the closure, the production of 3M medical protective masks has never stopped, and the production line has been running in an orderly manner. With the support of the government, the company is making active preparations for other production, and has begun to formulate a comprehensive plan for resumption of work and production;
BASF said that since late March, BASF’s production bases in Shanghai have been conducting closed-loop operations; during the closure period, although the production load has decreased, production activities have not been interrupted, and it supports the guidance of the Shanghai Municipal Government on resumption of work and production;
DuPont said that DuPont has not received a request from the Shanghai government to resume work and production, nor has it made a statement on WeChat. Please do not spread unconfirmed news.
Since March, the new crown epidemic broke out in Shanghai. In order to control the spread of the epidemic, Shanghai has adopted strict closure and control measures, which has also affected the production of many local enterprises.
On April 16, the Shanghai Municipal Commission of Economy and Information Technology formulated and issued the Guidelines for the Prevention and Control of Epidemic Prevention and Control of Industrial Enterprises Resuming Work and Production in Shanghai (First Edition). The implementation of the main responsibility of enterprises refers to the implementation of closed-loop control under the premise of ensuring that risks are controllable. Management, effectively, orderly and effectively promote the resumption of work and production of enterprises, and ensure the safety and stability of the industrial chain and supply chain. After the resumption of work and production, the company will implement closed-loop management, which means that employees work and live in the factory area. Epidemic prevention and control within the closed loop is a prerequisite for resuming work and production.
As can be seen from the list, in addition to enterprises in key industries such as automobile manufacturing, equipment manufacturing, and biomedicine, there are also many operation guarantee and economic support enterprises.
According to statistics, there are more than 30 chemical companies in the first batch of 666 "whitelists", including BASF, Mitsubishi Chemical, INVISTA, Huntsman, Rohm Chemical and many other rubber, plastics and chemical raw materials. Production enterprises, upstream petrochemical plants such as Sinopec and CNOOC; 231 upstream and downstream automobile enterprises such as SAIC and Tesla!
