Maersk, MSC, Hapag-Lloyd Latest Notice
Maersk
On April 18, Maersk issued an announcement: Due to the impact of the new crown epidemic in Mongolia, entry from Erlian to Zamyn-Uud border is strictly controlled by the local government. This has a serious impact on shipping efficiency, please note that all Maersk Spot products on this shipping line are closed. (Except for offline customer orders that are normally executed) Specifically, railway products, dry cargo containers and reefer containers from Tianjin Xingang to Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia are likely to experience disruption/serious delays. Please review the updates below for reference.
Dry Box (Service Mode: Rail)
The average wait time in Newport will still be more than 3 months. Additional shipping storage charges may apply.
Refrigerated container (service mode: truck + rail)
Xingang-Erlian Border (Cargo): Erlian Border can now accept cross-border cargo, but in the past two weeks, there has been an outbreak in China. There is a good chance that traffic control or driver isolation measures will prolong transit times or even cause traffic disruptions.
Erlian-ZU border (service method: truck traffic): Erlian border crossing is now operating under a random policy (there is no fixed schedule, such as a monthly round, it is up to the government to decide when to start a new round Select.) This results in still unpredictable wait times for Erlian.
*Additional shipping and storage fees may apply.
