Coal prices at ports have risen for seven consecutive days

In the last week, the price of power coal in Bohai harbor has risen for 7 days, and the price of 5500 kcal power coal has approached 595 CNY/ton.

According to the guidance price of power coal of today's think tank Feng Mine, on July 29, the FOB guidance price of three northern ports (Caofeidian, Qinhuangdao and Huanghua Port) was 5500 cards 593-594 CNY/ton and 5000 cards 513-514 CNY/ton. This is the seventh consecutive day since the price of power coal in Bohai Rim Port stopped falling and rose again on July 23. The price of power coal in 5500 and 5000 cards increased by 4 CNY/ton and 5 CNY/ton respectively. The increase is not big, but at least it shows that the price of power coal is relatively strong in the peak season. The price trend of power coal in port is strong, which is closely related to the long-term operation of air conditioning and the sharp increase of electricity consumption caused by high temperature weather. According to the latest data released by the State Grid on July 26, from July 22 to 25, China's electricity generation reached an all-time high of 23.535 billion kWh for four consecutive days. Driven by the continuous high temperature, the power load of two regional power grids in East China and Central China, Tianjin, Hebei, Shandong, Zhejiang and Fujian provincial power grids, hit a record high on July 26. The situation is also evidently reflected in the daily consumption of the six major thermal power plants along the coast. According to the big data of China's coal industry from think tank today, the data released on July 26 show that the six major thermal power plants in the coast have 17698,000 tons of inventory, consuming 799,500 tons per day and 22.1 days of inventory usable. According to the data released on July 27, the six thermal power plants in the coast have 17743,000 tons of inventory, consuming 815,000 tons per day and 21.7 days of inventory usable. According to the data of cloth, there are 176.62 million tons of thermal power in the six coastal areas, which consume 803,000 tons per day, and 21.92 days available for storage. This is also since last year's peak winter, after more than 200 days, the daily consumption of the six major thermal power plants along the coast has continuously exceeded 800,000 tons.

Today's think tank notes that according to the data of China Weather Network, there is still a large range of high temperature weather in eastern China before the end of July, and the daily maximum temperature in some areas can reach 38-39 C. Temperature in most areas of China is higher than that in normal years. There will be high temperature weather in central and southern part of North China, Huanghuai, southern part of Northeast China and Jianghuai. According to this trend, the rising trend of power coal price around Bohai Sea port is expected to continue. It is only a matter of time for the landmark price of 5500 kcal power coal to exceed 600 CNY/ton.
