VPi Hit A New Low, Doxycycline Hydrochloride Fell Another 4.04%
This week, the veterinary drug API market was squeezed by the cost and low demand, and the overall market maintained a downward trend of shock and weak operation. The game between supply and demand in the market continues to ferment, and the upstream is facing greater pressure on shipments. However, under the pressure of various factors such as cost, manufacturers’ willingness to support prices has gradually increased. Taking the opportunity to get the goods, the downstream demand is mainly just in demand, the enthusiasm for purchasing has increased, and the transaction stalemate continues to ease.
● VPi
On the 13th, the veterinary drug raw material price index (VPi) closed at 77.21, down 1.09% month-on-month and 18.30% year-on-year, and the index reached a new low. From November 2021 to now, the index has been in a state of continuous contraction for more than 5 months, and the continuous contraction index objectively reflects the recent weak trend of the veterinary drug API market.
● Doxycycline hydrochloride
This Wednesday, the average market price of doxycycline hydrochloride was 475 yuan/kg, down 4.04% month-on-month and 25.55% year-on-year. The product price continued to fall after falling below the 500 mark last week.
From the perspective of supply and demand, the downward trend of doxycycline hydrochloride will not change in the short term, and it will still take time to reach the bottom.
Analysts from the China Veterinary Drug and Feed Trading Center said that the game of market supply, demand and cost, as well as psychological factors will continue. Except for a few varieties, most products have limited downside space, and will be mainly adjusted to weak fluctuations in the short term.
Finally, due to the spread of the epidemic in many places, the logistics obstruction continues, and more attention needs to be paid to the stability of the industrial chain and supply chain.
