Jianou Organizes Centralized Interview on Fire Safety of Chemical Enterprises

In order to further strengthen the safety supervision of chemical enterprises, promote chemical enterprises to earnestly implement their main responsibilities, resolutely prevent and curb the occurrence of serious and extraordinary fires, especially mass casualties and fire accidents, on the morning of August 2, the office of Jianou City Security Committee organized a centralized interview on fire safety of chemical enterprises in the city. The meeting was attended by the heads of emergency management, public security, residential construction, transportation, market supervision, fire control departments, chemical enterprises in the jurisdiction, and the responsible persons and managers of fire safety of dangerous chemicals management, storage and transportation units.

The meeting briefed the "7.19" major explosion accident of Yima Gasification Plant of Henan Sanmenxia Henan Energy and Chemical Industry Group Co., Ltd. and warned the participants to learn lessons from the accident carefully, cite one example from another, tightly supervise measures, standardize daily management and strictly prevent fire accidents. The meeting analyzed the fire safety situation of dangerous chemicals industry in the whole city, and made deployment and emphasis on strengthening the fire safety work of dangerous chemicals industry.

The meeting requires that first, strict supervision be carried out in accordance with the law. Relevant departments should draw lessons from accidents, carry out high-quality investigation and renovation, urge and guide enterprises to strictly perform fire control duties according to law, strengthen daily fire safety management, implement risk assessment and commitment announcement system, and timely detect and eliminate potential safety hazards. Second, we should strengthen crisis awareness. All chemical enterprises and dangerous chemicals management, storage and transportation units should enhance the sense of crisis and responsibility, strictly implement the main responsibility of fire safety according to law, earnestly draw lessons from fire accidents, put rules and regulations and security measures into practice, and effectively prevent them from happening. Third, we should improve preventive measures.

We should carry out in-depth self-examination and self-correction, identify weak links and take timely measures to improve them. The list, quantity, distribution, nature and daily reserves of dangerous chemicals to be used should be timely counted, the general plan of enterprises and the zoning map of explosion dangerous areas needed for fire extinguishing and rescue should be prepared, and sufficient fire extinguishing agents should be stored according to the fire danger of enterprises. Full-time fire brigades and process emergency response teams of enterprises should be built and strengthened so as to enhance the ability of emergency response at the initial stage of fire accidents. It is necessary to conduct a comprehensive inspection, maintenance and maintenance of fire fighting facilities and equipment to ensure their integrity and effectiveness. It is necessary to organize a fire safety education training and fire evacuation drill for all staff, enhance their awareness of fire safety and self-defense and self-rescue capabilities, and consolidate the unit's safety defense line. During the interview period, the fire department conducted professional training on deepening the investigation and renovation of fire safety in dangerous chemicals industry, standardized management of fire safety in chemical enterprises, and building the "four capabilities" of fire safety.
