Eight deaths were reported in Sichuan Province to 6 accidents in mine safety

In view of the six consecutive accidents of coal mine safety in our province in July this year, today (August 14) at 5 p.m., the Provincial Emergency Management Department convened an emergency Video Conference on coal mine safety production in the whole province, to analyse and report the progress of coal mine safety production in the whole province this year to 21 cities and states, and to the coal mine safety workers in the whole province. Remobilization and redeployment should be made to quickly reverse the passive situation of coal mine safety accidents and resolutely prevent and curb the occurrence of serious and extraordinary accidents in coal mines.
Throughout January-July this year, there were 18 coal mine production safety accidents and 23 deaths. Compared with the same period last year, although the number of accidents decreased by three, the number of deaths decreased by two. However, as far as the whole country is concerned, there were 100 accidents in coal mines in China from January to July, and the proportion of mine safety accidents in our province reached 18.0%, ranking first in the country.
The relevant person in charge of the Provincial Emergency Management Department said that the current situation of the large number of coal mines, heavy disasters, small scale and poor foundation in our province has not fundamentally changed, the tendency of coal mine accidents prone to occur has not been effectively curbed, and the current situation of coal mine safety is very grim. In view of the present situation and prominent problems of safety production in Sichuan coal mines, this meeting calls for the next step to focus on the main aspects of major contradictions and contradictions, grasp the key people, key strata and key mines, highlight the ability, behavior and effect of performance, continue to vigorously eliminate backward coal mines, and control and persevere at the source. Actively promoting the implementation of the "Three Responsibilities List" in coal mine safety production, focusing on the construction of the main body responsibility system of coal mine safety production, including "clear responsibility, accountability, accountability and accountability", and fully implementing the party and government leadership responsibility, department supervision responsibility and enterprise main body responsibility of coal mine safety production. We should strive to build a new pattern of coal mine safety production in Sichuan, narrow the gap between Sichuan coal mine safety production and the whole country, resolutely prevent and curb the occurrence of serious and extraordinary accidents in coal mines, and ensure that the situation of coal mine safety production in Sichuan is stable and improved.
