crab-market

Autumn wind makes crab feet itchy. Since August 1, the fishing moratorium in some areas of southern China has ended, and crabs that have disappeared for a long time have appeared again in Linyi market. Although not facing the sea, crabs have become a common delicacy in many families on Linyi people's dining tables.

A few days ago, a reporter visited major markets and found that early-maturing crab varieties have quietly come on the market, with prices ranging from 20 yuan to 45 yuan per kilogram. Among them, Portuguese crabs from Rizhao, Lianyungang and other places are the most popular.

Gong, who lived in Happy Huacheng District of Hedong District, rushed to Qilu Market Aquatic Area to buy Portunus crabs in the morning of the 27th when she brought them to the common people's table. After careful selection, Ms. Gong selected 6 kilograms of Portunus crab at a price of 30 yuan per kilogram. She told reporters that her son had just entered college this year, and she wanted to cook a big meal for her children before school began. Hearing that crabs in Qilu market are fat and beautiful this year, she rushed to bring some back to her son to taste. Ms. Gong told reporters that as residents of inland cities, crabs have always been "tall" in their own impression, not a common food on the table of the people, and they hardly ate crabs several times when they were young. "Now the living standard is high. It costs 180 yuan to buy 6 kilograms of crabs. It feels very affordable." Ms. Gong said. The crab, once regarded as "tall and tall" by the common people, has now entered the common people's homes and become a common delicacy on the dining tables of many Linyi citizens. This has deeply touched Mr. Fan, an aquatic product operator. "I have been making aquatic products for more than 10 years. In the last three to five years, aquatic products such as crabs, crayfish, shrimps and skin shrimps have become more and more popular among the people." Mr. Fan said. Since the crab came into the market this year, it can be sold out in half a day. Crab has become one of the most popular commodities.

Portuguese crabs accounted for 80%, mainly from Rizhao, Lianyungang

on the 27th. Reporters visited Qilu market, Pre-Station farmer's market and Darunfa supermarket and found that newly listed crabs were found everywhere in the major aquatic areas. At present, the most common species on the market is Portuguese crab, mainly from Lianyungang, Rizhao and other surrounding coastal cities.

"What season to eat, from mid-August to crab-eating season, now is Portunus crab." At the farmer's market in front of the station, Ms. Sun, who manages aquatic products, told reporters. According to Ms. Sun, Portuguese crabs are divided into female crabs, male crabs and triangular crabs. Portuguese crab sells the best, almost occupying eight components of the crab market, and female Portuguese crab dominates the market. "Portuguese crab dominates the market, which is the usual practice in the season when crabs are on the market every year, so it can not jump out of this frame." Ms. Sun said.

"Now it's mainly Portuguese crab, big and fat, hairy crab will not open the market until after the Mid-Autumn Festival." Ms. Sun said that in August, Portuguese crab sales had accounted for more than half of its turnover. Because hairy crabs are relatively late in the market, they usually have a strength one month after the market, and continue to winter. Even then, Portuguese crabs still dominated the market. Reporter interviews found that, regardless of supermarkets, seafood wholesale markets, or agricultural markets, almost every aquatic area will place Portuguese crabs in a prominent position, and most of these Portuguese crabs come from Lianyungang and Rizhao.

"Seafood, especially this kind of live seafood, consumes a lot. Only by stocking in the near future can we ensure that the people can buy live seafood to the greatest extent and sell it at a good price." Jiang Dangrui, owner of an aquatic product store, said in Yantailing live seafood market.

Workers were busy sorting newly arrived Portunus crabs at the Wholesale and Retail Department of Fujian Live Seafood in Qilu Market on the morning of 27th.

According to Mr. Shi, the business director, he has been engaged in water production business for many years. He mainly manages live seafood such as gill shrimp, lobster, sea cucumber and Portuguese crab, as well as dry and iced products. Every August, the sun shines into the swimming crab.

"When entering the seaside, it is packed in baskets, which is the currency in the industry, and then it is selected when returning." Mr. Shi told reporters. A basket of Portuguese crabs generally ranges from 50 to 70 kilograms. It is customary to divide it into three categories: those who die in the course of transportation, sells them separately for 30 yuan and one kilogram; those who weigh in 892 belong to the high-quality category, with the highest price being 40 yuan per kilogram; those who are smaller, are priced from 30 yuan to 35 yuan per kilogram according to the product phase.

During the interview, the reporter learned that when Portuguese crab was first listed, it sold for nearly 100 yuan per kilogram with good quality, but with the gradual increase in the market volume, the price has now fallen back. The cheapest retail price of Portuguese crab is less than 20 yuan per kilogram, and most of them are between 20 yuan and 45 yuan per kilogram. Among them, 30 yuan is the most popular price.

"For the common people, it is more expensive to eat Portunus crabs in restaurants, but if you buy live crabs in the market, it is much cheaper to make them by yourself." Mr. Liu, a citizen, made an account for the journalist: if you go to a restaurant to eat Portunus crabs, each one costs about 60 yuan, a total of 360 yuan for six people at a table, and more than 100 yuan for six live crabs on the market. It's more economical to buy live crabs on the market and go home.
